We’re thrilled to announce that the photography project New Home: Our Resilience by six members of Rainbow Sisters – our LGBTQ+ solidarity group – is out now!
The project aims to amplify the voices of LGBTQ+ refugee and asylum-seeking women and raise awareness about their experiences through creative, visual storytelling.
Over the course of six months and eleven workshops at Autograph and in collaboration with Fast Forward: Women in Photography, six women from our Rainbow Sisters group explored and developed skills in: the use of analogue and digital photography; visual storytelling; lighting, composition and staging techniques.
Our Rainbow Sisters have created beautiful and powerful work that we’re really proud of!
You can view our virtual gallery here or catch the on pieces display at Old Street roundabout, London from 3rd to 16th February 2025.
Here’s a sneak peak at some of the beautiful photos and the behind the scenes:
This project was a collaborative partnership between Autograph and Fast Forward: Women in Photography.
We extend our deep gratitude to interdisciplinary artist, activist and educator, Aida Silvestri, for her mentorship, compassion, kindness and warmth in delivering this project.
If you’ve enjoyed the exhibition, please consider donating to support our Rainbow Sisters! Our work is only possible because of the generosity and compassion of our supporters like you.
