We’re extremely proud to bring together over 30 influential women and men – including actors, artists, authors, comedians, campaigners and other public figures – who have pledged their support for Refugee Family Reunion as part of our new campaign, We Will Never Let That Go.
Signatories include Annie Lennox, Peter Capaldi, Dame Harriet Walter, David Morrissey, Juliet Stevenson, Laura Whitmore, Aisling Bea and many more. Together, they pledge:
I believe refugee families belong together.
I stand with refugee women who are separated from their children and loved ones by borders and bureaucracy.
I stand for the rights of families to be reunited.
In September 2025, with only a few days’ notice, the Government suddenly suspended refugee family reunion – one of the only safe routes available for people with refugee status to safely reunite with their loved ones. This disproportionately harms refugee women and children with over 92% of refugee family reunion visas granted to them before the route was closed.
Forcing families apart deepens trauma, undermines recovery and integration, and denies refugee women the foundation they need to rebuild their lives in safety.
We will never accept a system that forces family apart. Families belong together. We will never let that go.
