The past year has been an intensely hostile one for refugee and asylum-seeking women. From the Government’s UK–France deal, to racist and Islamophobic protests, and the introduction of further inhumane asylum reforms, women seeking safety have been pushed deeper into uncertainty and limbo.
But with you by our side, we stood firm. Together, we continued to challenge hostility, campaign for a compassionate asylum system, and support hundreds refugee women to rebuild their lives, speak out for change, and build community.
From joyful celebrations and creative performances, to powerful speeches at public events and meeting with MPs, refugee women have met the Government’s hostility with hope, joy, and resistance.
