Women for Refugee Women campaigns for a fair and compassionate UK asylum system, in which all women who are forced to cross borders for their safety can rebuild their lives in safety.
We work alongside refugee and asylum-seeking women to campaign for the changes they want to see, and to build a fairer UK asylum system and world.
Over the past 18 years we have seen real change as a result of our campaigns for refugee women! Our work has helped:
- refugee women speak out and tell their own stories to the media and parliamentarians, at events and through the arts;
- build a movement made of caring and compassionate people;
- secure UK asylum policy change and improvements, which pave the way for more radical change.
Decided in collaboration with women in our network, our four main areas of campaigning are: Decision-Making, Detention, Accommodation, and the Right to Work.
