Coffee, Cake & Poetry at The National Poetry Library, Southbank Centre

“To me, a home is where you feel loved, safe, and cherished.” – Malala Yousafzai

Following the theme of Refugee Week 2024, Our Home, let’s practice our solidarity and make ‘Our Home’ a more welcoming, safe and sustainable place for all.

From the places we gather to share meals to our collective home, planet Earth: everyone is invited to celebrate what our Our Home means to them.

Join us from 10:30 for coffee and cake at the National Poetry Library – 5th Floor at Southbank Centre, London.

Our 40 minute poetry performance will begin at 11am. You will hear original poetry written and performed by refugee and asylum-seeking women from our Drama group. The poems are sure to make you smile!

We are thankful to the National Poetry Library for hosting this event, and for the support from the Southbank Arts and Wellbeing Team.
