Our work is founded on solidarity and sisterhood. We are proud to work with supporters from all walks of life to amplify refugee women’s voices and work towards building a fairer asylum process.

Our amazing supporters have used their talents and time to make a real difference to the lives of refugee women. Find out how you can get involved here.

In 2016, 99 inspiring women joined their voices to call on the British government to stop locking up pregnant women in detention. These 99 women reflected the 99 pregnant women who were detained in Yarl’s Wood detention centre in 2014.

These women include Charlotte Church, Romola Garai, Malorie Blackman, Yasmin Kadi, Noma Dumezweni, Caitlin Moran, Bridget Christie, Baroness Valerie Amos, Yvette Cooper MP, Juliet Stevenson, Mary Beard, Sophie Walker, Anoushka Shankar, Caroline Spelman MP, Oona King, Bryony Hannah, and Caroline Lucas MP. Working collaboratively with these women and other partners, we managed to get a 72 hour time limit imposed on the detention of pregnant women – we continue to campaign for a total ban on their detention.
