We’re looking for new volunteers to help deliver our in person activities with refugee and asylum-seeking women!
Our creative and educational activities are at the heart of everything that we do. At Women for Refugee Women (WRW), we strive to create a safe and welcoming space where women can build friendships, develop their skills and confidence and begin to heal and rebuild their lives. We couldn’t achieve any of this without our incredible volunteers.
We’re looking for 3 new volunteers who can start asap, for the following roles:
Digital Skills Volunteer:
A tech-savvy woman who is committed to supporting refugee and asylum-seeking women develop their laptop skills from beginners to intermediate level. Sessions are in-person at our offices near Old Street in London and you will be co-delivering alongside another volunteer. Wednesdays, 12-1pm during term time.
Knitting Volunteer:
A woman who has experience of knitting and supporting others to learn the skill to co-deliver weekly sessions for refugee and asylum-seeking women. Sessions are in-person at our offices near Old Street in London and you will be co-delivering alongside another volunteer. Wednesdays, 2.30-4.30pm during term time.
Discussion Group Volunteer:
An experienced facilitator who can explore a wide-range of topics with a group of engaged refugee and asylum-seeking women on topics such as women’s right or British culture. ESOL or CELTA experience with advanced English learners a plus. Sessions are in-person at our offices near Old Street in London and you will be co-delivering alongside another volunteer. Mondays, 2.30-4pm during term time.
