New course: Introduction to Campaigning
Women for Refugee Women is starting a new course called ‘Introduction to Campaigning’. The course will help you to understand the fundamentals of campaigning theory and strategy to give graduates the skills to be able to meaningfully participate in, and run, campaigns for social change.
You may want to sign up for this course if you are interested in campaigning with Women for Refugee Women in the future or running your own campaigns in your community to advance issues you care about.
What will the course cover?
The course will cover key elements of campaigning skills and knowledge including:
- What is campaigning?
- Creating a campaign plan
- Influencing Parliament
- Communicating your message
- Resilience in campaigning
- Evaluating campaigns
When will the course run, and how much time will it involve?
The course will happen on Mondays from 2:30 – 4:30pm.
The course will run for 10 weeks, from Monday 29th September to Monday 9th December (half term break 28th October).
The course will take place in person at Women for Refugee Women’s Office, near Old Street.
We will provide travel expenses for your attendance at the course. Light refreshments will also be provided during the sessions.
Who should apply?
You can apply to join if you:
- Are interested in learning about campaigning
- Live in London and are able to attend the weekly in person sessions on Monday’s between 2:30 – 4:30pm
- Have a reasonable level of spoken English
