We’re looking for new volunteers to support our grassroots activities at Women for Refugee Women (WRW)!

At WRW we strive to create a safe space where women can build friendships, share solidarity, and develop their skills and confidence. We couldn’t achieve any of this without our dedicated and brilliant volunteers.

We’re looking for a new Dance and Movement volunteer who can start as soon as possible. Could this be you?

Who we are looking for:

  • A woman who is passionate about dance;
  • To support another volunteer to set up and deliver weekly dance and movement sessions;
  • Who is available every Tuesday during school term times 16:00 – 17:00;
  • Who can commit to a minimum of six months.

We are particularly interested to hear from people of colour and/or with experience of the asylum system.

Experience of dance, movement or facilitation is desirable.

What will the volunteers do?

  • Deliver in-person sessions at our activities space near Old Street, London, alongside another volunteer;
  • Support refugee and asylum-seeking women to practice dance in a fun, relaxed environment;
  • Help set up and pack down the meeting space;
  • Chat to members.

What Women for Refugee Women provide:

  • Full induction;
  • Supervision;
  • Reflection meetings;
  • Socials and events with other volunteers and staff;
  • Training (e.g. safeguarding);
  • Travel expenses.
